Car, rig collide on Beaumont Hwy., killing one

A woman died in a traffic crash when she slammed into a big rig after she alledgedly ran a red-light in east Harris County Wednesday afternoon. Betty Konarik Foster died in the two-vehicle wreck, which occurred in the 11700 block of Beaumont Highway near John Ralston about 2 p.m., according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
